Jason…you might want to remove the idea of paying a referral fee, since it’s not legal, (RESPA violations can really get you in hot water–or jail if you really tick someone off)…
I’ll call you tomorrow if you want…I have a CD from the Association of Mortgage Brokers that goes over these regulations….I don’t want you to have any problems…and you never know who snoops around here…
also, if anyone here thinks you’ll go ahead an collect, it’s also a violation to RECEIVE a referral fee…it’s a heavily regulated industry…so if you refer someone to Jason, who sounds like a nice guy…do it because you believe he’ll take care of them, not to just take care of yourself…
